If you expose your Cipherlab Ruggedized Handheld Computer ("RHC") to excess heat, it will display an overheating alert. If you see the alert or if you find the device is hot to the touch, then you take the following actions to reduce the temperature:
- Remove the device from direct sunlight. Consider using a shade or umbrella.
- Allow air flow and avoid leaving the device in an enclosed area. Open the lid, if the RHC is mounted on a FlexHub (the electronics box for the FairPick Flex/QuickPick).
- Reduce the screen brightness. High display brightness can impact temperature.
Note: The device should not get hot when charging. If this occurs, check the battery, the charging cord, or cord port for damage.
