The InstaCaliper consists of an application that links to your Web Portal and a caliper head (50mm, 100mm, or 150mm). For the InstaCaliper to measure accurately, you should calibrate the head before use and periodically. 2nd Sight engineers have tested each head size and determined a specific offset.
The InstaCaliper app defaults to the 100mm calibration. If you are using either the 50MM head or the 150MM head, you will need to set the proper calibration in the app. See InstaCaliper: Using the 50mm Head and InstaCaliper: Using the 150mm Head.
NOTE: The default offsets were determined by 2nd Sight engineers. We recommend testing the caliper head for accuracy using 50MM, 100MM, or 150MM calibrated dowels after configuring the head to ensure measurement accuracy.settings.
IMPORTANT: Be careful not to press any additional buttons in the Admin screen. The "Delete Measurements" button will erase all measure events from the handheld's memory and the SD card.
