The box is reading "remove items" and is indicating that there is not a scale connected to it.
This usually indicates the scale may have a faulty board, or the scale cord is faulty. But in this case the scale display is working and showing that the scale is reading weights.
When this issue occurs it is due to negligence from Mettler-Toledo. They set the wrong protocol on the scale. Plug in the Mettler Toledo Programming Display and go to the "Comm" setting and set the protocol to "Protocol U".
