InstaCaliper can measure trees that are staked. If done correctly, the measurement will not include the stake.
- Position the caliper head with the stake to the right or left of the tree. This will block or "shade out" the tree stake.
- Slide the caliper head between the stake and tree.
- DO NOT position the caliper head so tha tthe state is in front of or behind the tree. This will result in inaccurate measurements.
