Our customers often ask, Where does our data go?

After data is captured in the field, it is stored on the field device on an SD card. To view the data on the web portal, where you can see the raw data and reports designed to interpret the data, you must upload the data to the Web Portal by "sync-ing" it. There are two ways to sync data up to the Web Portal. You will view, edit, and analyze your data on your Web Portal account.

OPTION 1: Connect equipment (scale, handheld, the electronics box) to a Wi-Fi network and upload or sync data to the Web Portal

OPTION 2: For handheld devices, purchase and install a SIM card through a cellular service provider and sync the data through the cellular network.

After the syncing process is complete, your data is held in a database from which the Web Portal can access it to populate reports.

To prevent data loss, 2nd Sight stores back-up copies of employee labor data from the apps in two locations: on the equipment memory and on a micro SD card located in the equipment. If equipment is damaged, 2nd Sight can upload data from the micro SD card to your Web Portal account to ensure that you can always run your payroll!

Payroll Software: 2nd Sight can integrate your labor-tracking data with several payroll software packages - however, 2nd Sight cannot integrate data with QuickBooks. We currently are able to upload data to the following payroll software packages:

If your payroll software accepts *.csv files, we may be able to construct a report that will allow you to easily import your 2nd Sight data files into your payroll software.

Nursery Inventory Software: 2nd Sight can integrate your nursery inventory data with several software packages. We currently are able to upload data to the following payroll software packages:
