MobileClock is a 2nd Sight time tracking app that employees download to their personal handheld device, usually a cell phone. Data recorded on the handheld device must be uploaded to the Web Portal to ensure accurate time reports for payroll.

The short answer to the question "Does MobileClock Auto-sync Data to the Web Portal" is a qualified yes. MobileClock data will auto-sync if

  • the employee's device is connected to the internet via a Wi-Fi or cellular network; and
  • the app to be open and running on the phone.

If these requirements are met, the app will

  • will attempt to auto-sync in the background every 10 minutes
  • will attempt a sync after any button push (clock in, clock out....)

NOTE: To ensure that MobileClock data uploads to the Web Portal, users should always manually press the "Sync" button at the bottom of the app and "Sync Now" when prompted.
